- Self-certification of facilities and services, which will be confirmed by, or on behalf of, the RMI.
- The RMI Code of Practice for Service and Repair (the Code).
- Commitment to ongoing staff development and appropriate training.
- Displaying prominently, and adhering to, the Customer Charter.
- Displaying and making available to customers the short version of the Code and Customer Guarantee (the Guarantee).
- Honouring the RMI Customer Guarantee by carrying out paid works on behalf of the RMI.
- In the event my garage is found negligent under the guarantee, to refund the costs of rectification to the RMI.
- In the event of a complaint against a Trust My Garage member, the following will apply:
1) At the first instance a full discussion on the complaint and works will be held, with an action plan being developed and carried out.
2) At the second instance, a training needs analysis will be conducted and an action plan, including any relevant training, will be created and carried out. This may include ATA training / qualification as appropriate.
3) At the third instance of complaint, membership of Trust My Garage will be suspended pending a full review. - Making available to customers Service Comment Cards and / or Trust My Garage website details for comments.
- Nominating a Customer Complaint Resolution Manager and training them in the Code and Guarantee.
- Keeping full records in relation to any customer complaint.
- Carrying out sample checks on works done by technicians to a minimum of 5% of works done.
- Keeping full records on sample checks of works done.
- Accepting that I may be subject to a quality check and mystery shopper exercise.
- Participation in any additional marketing programme is mandatory.
- The RMI reserves the right to exclude a member who provides any false or inaccurate information during the application process, or at any time during their membership to Trust My Garage. Furthermore membership can be suspended or revoked in the event of a member failing to honour the programme or where three claims are made against the Guarantee.
